Session begins Dreamember 35th 800av 6:00AM

  • The next morning, at 6 a.m., they heard sounds of fighting outside. The fighting was loud, indicating that multiple people, possibly 10-15, were involved.
  • Aragorn stepped outside the house and saw two centaurs jousting with wooden-ended spears. One of them was the same centaur they had fought the day before, Rhas Iceroar. Aragorn tossed a rock to trip the centaur they hadn’t fought. The other centaur, the one they had fought, rammed the fallen one with his spear, securing his 132nd consecutive win.
  • Meanwhile, Shane tried to get the villagers to stop fighting, yelling, “What is the meaning of this? I’m trying to sleep!“. Everyone stopped and stared at him with a dumbfounded look. Orem told him it was rude to interrupt a duel. The villagers immediately went back to fighting, as if they were performing a rehearsed routine.
  • Caitlin and Aragorn decided to look for a museum or town hall to find anything of interest. Their search led them to a large stone building, which was a hospital for the injured. Inside, they saw a halfling rubbing a magical paste on a large, injured half-orc. Caitlin healed the half-orc with a spell, spending 32 hit points from her Lay on Hands pool to heal all of his wounds, including snapping his bones back into place. The healed half-orc was revealed to be the town’s self proclaimed undisputed leader, who told them that there was no real structural hierarchy or leader in Crumbleton; whoever wins the morning duel decides the rules for the day. The half-orc also mentioned that they could find a shrine with a large sword, he thinks, in Sunder. The party’s magical warhorse could get them there in two days.
  • While the others were at the hospital, Shane returned to the party’s house and cast Legend Lore on the Dodecahedron. He learned that the Dodecahedron is a special item that can only be wielded by one person in a universe, and it is a connection to all other universes. By using spell slots, Shane discovered he could communicate with a being named Syndol Sebnos who resides in a different universal plane. Syndol Sebnos told Shane that his existence as a “traveler” in a universe that is not his own creates “time strands” which empower a dodecahedron. Syndol Sebnos advised Shane that Trug is likely not an ally and that he should go to any place that Trug told him to avoid. He said he would look into Shain’s existence and see what he could find out. Generally, a “traveler” cannot stay in a different universe for long periods of time without their body disintegrating.
  • Solvar went through the back door of the hospital and found a pile of dead bodies. The bodies were not decomposing but were instead drained and skeletal. While rummaging through the bodies, Solvar found and drank a suspicious black liquid. This liquid caused an intense hunger. Solvar began eating the bodies. Caitlin cast Purify Food and Drink and used the Heimlich maneuver to make Solvar throw up the black liquid. Afterwards, Caitlin summoned 45 pounds of food and 30 gallons of water to nourish Solvar.
  • The group decided to leave Crumbleton and head towards Sunder, traveling with the warhorse and leaving Aerendyl and Shane behind. Aerendyl went to the town bar, and Shane was still inside the house mumbling and scribbling on the walls. Eventually, Aerendyl knocked on the door and Shane shared the information he learned from his conversation with Syndol Sebnos. With this new information, Shane and Aerendyl decided to join the others and leave the village.
