Nation Info

A warrior like kingdom. The king is chosen by a tournament duel once every 10 years. Might makes right in this kingdom. They are the smallest kingdom in Lovant by population.

This nation has no formal cities, just villages, as the technology level is closer to barbarians. All are loyal to the king as most who would normally have issue would have fought in the grand bout. All disagreements of policy are null and void if you loose a bout.

The people who live here are not normally the most intelligent, and as such will not have large disagreements on complex policy. This has lead to, regardless of the current king, very small technological or societal advancement.

Any species can become a citizen, regardless of even intelligence. To become a citizen you must fight in the grand bout, or win at least one fight against someone who was awarded ”Lucky”. That being said, there are no real “benefits” to being a citizen, until you win a fight you are just considered an outsider. Fortunately, there isn’t stigma around being outsider and no real advantage to being a citizen. It is simply that on of the previous kings had heard these terms from a vising monarch and adopted it thinking it was important.

Most people here are quite strong compared to the global average, with every citizen having fought tooth and nail since birth, each person is a natural fighter. Even those who practice magic, which if few and far between, are almost exclusively combat oriented with no “utility spells” even thought of.

Every morning, most villages practice in the “morning bout” where every villager will fight each other. While it is acceptable to challenge and fight anyone, it is normally only fights between those equal or near equal in combat. These bouts are not to gain titles or property, but are a way to further refine their combat prowess.

Citizen Awards

Any person can receive awards during the grand bout. The awards act as your title and your position in the hierarchy. Titles can be traded, by fighting, the winner takes the higher tier award.

Town Tiers

While there is no formal town tiers, usually people will group together according to their citizen tier. As such, most towns get an informal tier based on the majority of the people living their and their average tier. Naturally, those with higher tiers are closer to the king and those with lower tiers stay farther away from the king.
