Session begins Dreamember 36th 800av at 12:30 PM.

  • Previously, Shain Everon, Caitlin, and Solvar went through a portal while Aragorn and Aerendyl remained behind. When the portal closed, three items fell out: a ring belonging to Solvar, a dress that the Queen once wore, and the Glacial Heart Amulet. The party is now on the side of the road with no horse.
  • Aragorn and Aerendyl decide that the mission to get back to Judicar remains the same. Their trip to Breaker will take at least four days on foot, and the subsequent trip from Breaker to Judicar will take around three and a half months, even with a horse.
  • Aerendyl attempts to use a Tiny Servant spell on their cart to move it, but the DM denies this, instead allowing him to re-summon Lieutenant Dan, the small boulder he animated last session. The group decides to have Lieutenant Dan pull the cart.
  • After a few days, Lieutenant Dan’s spell wears off, and they eventually obtain a horse by winning a battle in Breaker. They continue to Sunder and Impactoe, fighting battles along the way that become increasingly difficult.
  • An elder in Impactoe advises the group to skip going to Jason, which is considered a difficult location. Aerendyl and Aragorn agree to heed the advice and travel around Jason.
  • It is now deep into winter, and the year has changed to 801.
  • The party arrives in Everchill and learns that the Queen has been missing for several months, causing civil unrest. They hear rumors of a recent battle outside the city walls between a man named Yinlare and a woman in black armor. Yinlare is said to have restored order to Snowvale in the absence of a proper authority figure.
  • After leaving Everchill, the party enters a forest and easily navigates through it. At one point, they encounter a bear, which they easily defeat and make into a soup.
  • The party eventually reaches Judicar, which appears to have been completely repaired since their last visit. They find a large 20-foot tall statue of Aragorn near the main entrance, with a placard that says “Savior of the City”.
  • As they approach the city gates, a guard recognizes Aragorn and calls for others. Soon, a crowd of hundreds of people gathers to thank Aragorn, with some whispering about him slaying two dragons. The group is offered a free room at the same inn they stayed at previously, which the innkeeper has had reserved for them for four months.
  • While at the inn, Aragorn is asked to sign a children’s book titled The Rise of Aragorn the Prince, which he does.
  • Aragorn decides to join the military and goes to the guard tower. He is immediately given a promotion to Lieutenant General, a position just below General. This rank gives him authority and influence, making what he says “basically law”. Aragorn signs a contract of employment and officially becomes the highest-ranking member of the city.
  • Aerendyl gives Aragorn a sending stone to keep in touch. Aragorn provides Aerendyl with a very powerful war horse. As a party member of Aragorn, Aerendyl is granted identification to travel to Intellectia and Discernia.
  • Aerendyl travels to Intellectia, arriving sooner than expected after a four-day journey. Aerendyl visits a house affiliated with the Fingers Discount but finds no one there, though he notices that some papers were recently removed.
  • Aerendyl contacts the Fingers Discount members in Judicar and Calmcrest, but they refuse to respond.
  • Aerendyl visits a judge and learns that an investigator was assigned to the Serenity case. The investigator reveals that Serenity, the leader of the Fingers Discount, likely teleported to The Leylight Isles, which is outside of their jurisdiction. The investigator also states that the Fingers Discount has taken over a significant portion of businesses in Intellectia, including gambling establishments and inns.
  • Aerendyl goes to a casino to investigate. he orders a “Goblin Colada,” which causes him to speak Goblin uncontrollably. When he asks the bartender about the Fingers Discount, a large half-orc asks him to leave for being drunk.
  • Aerendyl tries to deescilate by claiming to be friends with the newly promoted Lieutenant General Aragorn. When this fails, he calls Aragorn using the sending stone to further the attempt and get information. Aragorn advises Aerendyl to go home.
  • Aerendyl leaves the casino and notices a small woman tailing him. he ambushs her in an alleyway, and she reveals that her boss, the casino owner Mr. Richardson, sent her to follow Aerendyl. She confesses that he threatened her brother to make her do it.
  • Aerendyl tricks two of Richardson’s men into the alley, kills them, and then disguises himself as one of the dead men to gain entry to Richardson’s office. Aerendyl confronts Richardson, a large dragonborn, and learns that Serenity, a “conniving bitch,” is the true leader of the Fingers Discount and has a bounty of 300,000 gold on Aerendyl’s head.
  • The two strike a deal: Richardson will truthfully answer four of Aerendyl’s questions and not harm the young woman who was following him, in exchange for Aerendyl not killing him. Aerendyl learns that most of the city is under the Fingers Discount’s control and that the city guards are not directly involved. Richardson reveals that Serenity is hiding in Lemstron.
  • Aerendyl leaves the casino and orders another Goblin Colada at the bar. He contact Aragorn via the sending stone and tell him all the information he has gathered about the Fingers Discount and Serenity’s location.
  • The journey to Discernia takes a crisp two weeks. Aerendyl travels to the city, which is a new place for him. He finds a restaurant called Underground Intricacies and discover that their friend Ner’ees owns it. Ner’ees is doing very well and has become an accomplished cook, though her food used to be terrible.
  • Ner’ees invites Aerendyl to stay at her mansion and gives Aerendyl a pouch of 2,500 gold to give back to Shain Everon and Aragorn. She tells Aerendyl that she has eight different restaurant chains and has also started buying and leasing out properties.
  • Aerendyl leaves Ner’ees and heads to the docks to meet their wife, Shylah Remor. They set sail for Amerihya, with Aerendyl’s wife stating that the Lemstron islands are completely controlled by pirates, making them inaccessible to outsiders.

Session ends Skyfire 15th 801av.
