Session starts Moonblossom 18th 800av 7:00PM.
- Aerendyl is currently in the warehouse, discussing plans to reunite with the rest of the party. The journey to reach them would take multiple weeks by horseback, but Aerendyl considers using a giant eagle for faster travel.
- The distance to Intellectia is approximately 2000 miles.
- Aerendyl is informed that using the giant eagle would take 3 days to reach Intellectia, but it would cost 14,000 gold.
- Aerendyl negotiates the price down by clearing an 8,000 gold debt owed by the eagle transport service and paying an additional 3,000 gold.
- Aerendyl meets with Serenity Fendoral, the second-in-command of the warehouse, to discuss logistics.
- Aerendyl explores the office in the warehouse and finds a solid gold dagger on display. After inspecting it with Detect Magic, Aerendyl determines it is non-magical and takes it for himself.
- Aerendyl also discovers a painting of an owl on the wall, which hides a safe behind it. The safe is locked and has no visible keyhole or mechanism.
- Aerendyl hires an old wizard, damon to open the safe using the Knock spell. The wizard successfully opens the safe, revealing a contract inside.
- The contract is a blood oath signed by Clark, binding him to a demonic entity. The contract states that if Clark attempts to destroy it, his flesh will wither, and his bones will break.
- Aerendyl takes the contract and stores it in his bag of holding, realizing it could be used as leverage against Clark.
- Aerendyl also inquires about Umberstones, magical stones he acquired from an underground location called Colnata. Serenity is unable to find any information on them but promises to continue researching. He also learns that the queen of Luminevia is dead, not known of the specifics. The advisor, Tremola Enlorare is now the “prime minister” ruling the land
- Aerendyl spends time working on the blueprints for his grappling hook, making progress in refining the design. He rolls a 26 on an Intelligence check, indicating significant improvements.
- Aerendyl sends a Leafwise Messenger to a comrade to inquire about the Pact of the Blood Moon, mentioned in Clark’s contract. The comrade responds that the name sounds familiar but cannot provide any concrete information.
- Aerendyl decides to take a long rest to recharge his spells and abilities. During this time, he meditates and dreams, attempting to recall any information about the Pact of the Blood Moon.
- After resting, Aerendyl prepares to depart for Intellectia via the giant eagle. He is warned not to touch or disturb the bird during the flight, as it is illegal in some regions and could result in complications.
- The journey to Intellectia will take 3 days, and Aerendyl will arrive 4-5 days behind the rest of the party.
- Before leaving, Aerendyl gives Serenity temporary leadership of the warehouse, instructing her to send monthly reports on sales and operations. He also learns that the organization has a small outpost in Judicare and is expanding into Discernia.
- Aerendyl departs on the giant eagle, heading to Intellectia to reunite with the party. He is warned not to interfere with the bird during the flight.
