We begin Skyfire 27th 800av at 7:30 PM
- Yinlare cuts off Vexmortis’s head and puts it in his bag.
- Shain uses Temporal Resurgence to ‘bring back’ Vexmortis. He appears as though a spectral version of himself.
- Shain requests a contract to be made with him.
- Vexmortis appears confused as to what he means by contract.
- It becomes obvious that the person brought back was Garret Blackwood before he became Vexmortis and all memories of his life as Vexmortis is gone.
- Shain dismisses the ‘soul’ of Vexmortis whilst the people stand around and watch.
- The people get very upset as they bein to believe that the party is a group of devils that have killed/trapped their god.
- The situation escalates and a man shows up, it is the same Tiefling that worked at the blacksmith.
- The party begins to talking with the blacksmith attempting to get the Tiefling and the crowd to stand down.
- Eventually, Yinlare gets the wonderful1 idea to claim to be a demon that has killed their god. He does this to try and intimidate them into standing down. Due to my crappy die, it works.
- They are able to leave the town without any further bloodshed.
- They begin walking down the road toward Lumin when they see a large military force heading toward them.
- They await for the horses to arrive, seeing as they are flying the banner of the queen.
- The army is complete with mage units, infantry, calvary, and a supply corps. This is a full deployment of the entire nations army. They claim they are ghere to remove the scurge known as Vexmortis.
- They party tells them that they have already killed Vexmortis. Yinlare pulls out the head from his bag as proof.
- the guard is convicned, he says that the army still needs to check out the village to make sure, but he directs the party to head towards the supply corps to meet with the queen.
- They maneuver through he army. A single soldire catches their eye. He isnt responding the same way as the other soldiers and something feels off. Regardless, they eventually get to the supply corps where a large covered cart catches their attention. The back of the cart has what appears to be a infinite tunnel (infinity mirror)
- They approach the cart and see a wizard who understands why they are there. He turns to the cart and begins to chant some magic. The figure of the queen appears in place of the tunnel.
- The party reports what happened to Vexmortis and explains the situation. She appreciates the effort they put in, and says as much.
- The party noticed that in the background, the castle looks a bit run down, as though there was a recent battle. Turns out, Grand Royal Wizard Edrick was working for Vexmortis and recently (seems to coincide with Vexmortis’ death) he snapped and attacked the queen. Of course, the queen wiped the floor with him.
- Aerendyl begins to mention information about the creature he encountered underneath Bremstone.2 The queen quickly cuts him off and ends the ‘call’.
- The wizard gives each party member a bag with 20 platinum coins.
- For some reason, Shain refuses the money and says he does not want it. The wizard, who is assumed to be in charge of the supply corps, calls over a soldier. Funnily enough, it is the same soldier that caught the parties eye earlier. He tells the soldier to go and spread out the money throughout the troops.
- The soldier agrees, but says he needs to speak with Aerendyl for a minute. They both go behind a tree. There, the soldier identifies himself as Nero and claims that he infiltrated the army to get revenge for a friend that was trampled on by the army a couple days earlier.
- The army begins to move forward. The party, now joined by Nero, decides to head towards Lumin.
- As they walk, Trug’s spectral face appears next to Shain ear and tells him not to go to Lumin. Just as quickly as it apparated, it disappeared.
- Personal character feat activated: Shain looks into a random moment in time for Vexmortis using his head. He sees a young boy on a rainy day crying in the street. An older gentlemen with a scar on his right jaw, short black hair, and brown eyes - with two large men flanking him holds his hand out to the child. The vision ends.
- Shain, because of his personal feat, immediately begins to crave alcohol and for some godforsaken reason, Yinlare gives him some Sleepy Mory. Which he proceeds to down and become catatonic.
- Aerendyl goes towards the mountains to meet with Cristina.3 Whilst the rest of the party climbs onto the cart they received from the army and utilized the single horse they got to ride towards Brelnada.
- … travel yay nothing happened - took 3 days.
- They arrive in Brelnada and go to the first inn they see and fall asleep.
Session ends Skyfire 31st at 6:30 AM
