Session starts Moonblossom 32nd 800av 6:00AM.
- Shain studies the Grand Theorem of Authentic Flux and Temporal Resonance in his room.
- Caitlin writes a note to Aerendyl, telling him to meet him in his room.
- Aerendyl wakes up about 30 minutes later and finds a note slid under his door by Caitlin.
- Caitlin and Aerendyl discuss the undead arms dealer.
- Aerendyl and Caitlin leave on a steed to meet with the contact.
- Aerendyl encounters a dwarf named Borin, who has a letter stating Aerendyl was expected at the Southern Gate on the 22nd. It is currently the 32nd. It is heavily implied that whoever wrote the orders was mistaken or hastily wrote the lore.
- Aerendyl asks Borin about the undead arms dealer, and Borin believes him to be a “Master Theron” who sells weapons down the street. The party rejects the notion because that would be far too simple. Not to mention the fact that the arms dealer is undead and did not seem capable of using proper illusion magic.
- Borin agrees to help Aerendyl and asks for information on Aragorn, specifically if he is a prince of Gondor.
- Borin informs Aerendyl that they will probably not have a base of operations for a week or two.
- Caitlin speaks with Borin privately and learns Borin’s contact code name is the Margin Manager. However, it is quickly uncovered that this was a lie that was told because Aerendyl does not fully trust Caitlin yet.
- Aerendyl and Caitlin arrive at the general store use a sending stone to schedule a meeting with the undead.
- Aerendyl gives the code phrase, “How wonderful is that sword shine brightly.”
- Aerendyl is led to the back room.
- Aerendyl is given the order of operations for placing orders.
- Specificy the quantity, make, and anything else you want the weapons to be into the sending stone
- If accepted, the reply will include a location.
- The Shopkeeper will have the time of meeting
- The shopkeeper, un-named Kelnor Trisen, left the room in order to allow for privacy.
- Aerendyl then picks up the sending stone and asks for an enchanted great sword with the strongest enchantment possible.
- After a considerable delay, a voice returns “liar”.
- The Shopkeeper quickly returns asking what they did that upset him.
- Caitlin, who is disguised as a servant of Aerendyl, tells the story of learning of this place from a man who is in prison by the guards.
- The shopkeeper, now slightly upset, apologizes as this is not something they should have come to learn. He takes responsibility for his subordinates loose lips and offers them the opportunity to reach out to Nighthawk, but says it will cost 400 gold to do so.
- Aerendyl agrees to pay the 400 gold and is led to a nicer table with a red tablecloth.
- Aerendyl remembers that Nighthawk is known for making a sword to rival the dragon that attacked Gondor.
- Aerendyl asks for a sword strong enough to slay his enemies, more powerful than most, fit for a general.
- The contact relays the message and says to meet Nighthawk in six days at 7:00 AM at the Gilded Crest Bar.
- Aerendyl, now satisfied with this arrangement, asks if its possible to reach back out to the undead weapon smuggler.
- The Shopkeeper informs him that he only deals in bulk orders and would likely not want to do business after his first attempt ended so badly.
- Aerendyl attempts to anyway, asking for 20 daggers.
- The undead says the minimum for a new order is 40 daggers, and the meeting will be at a location to the north of the city.
- Finally the Shopkeeper tells them the time is 10:30 PM tonight.
- The Shopkeeper also clarifies that he is just a central hub to allow reaching out to different people and that the distributors are not necessarily related. He even mentions that, through him, it was possible to reach out to certain royalty.
- Aerendyl sends a message to Shain to grab Aragorn and meet at the bizarre.
Session ends Moonblossom 32nd 800av 9:00AM.
