- Shain went to a library for research.
- Aerendyl’s Suspicious Encounter and Discovery:
- Aerendyl met with the kobolds (un-named, Tiz’ik, Rix, Wizzle) and was immediately under suspicion due to his failure to meet the expectations of the kobolds.
- He attempted to use his Mesmerizing Hourglass of Fascination, but it backfired, affecting him instead.
- When Aerendyl awoke, the kobolds were gone.
- He used detect magic with focused concentration and found the trace magic of the Umbrastones.
- The magical residue led him to a guard tower, which he infiltrated with relative ease.
- Inside, he discovered that a guard was stealing from merchants and had taken the Umbrastones.
- He stole the crystals back from the guard tower.
- Caitlin’s Fatal Negotiation:
- Caitlin met with the weapon smuggler.
- He initially hid his face but revealed it under pressure, showing what appeared to be a melting face (likely an illusion).
- When pushed further, the illusion dropped, revealing a skeleton face.
- The weapon smuggler raised his arms, summoning a small army of skeletons.
- After a brief combat, Caitlin killed the weapon smuggler.
- The cloak worn by the smuggler flew off the skeleton and donned itself onto another, as if alive.
- Negotiations resumed, with the new skeleton, presumably the cloak holds the consciousness, but Caitlin attacked again, attempting to rip off the cloak.
- Caitlin succeeds and turns to run with the cloak in her bag, but not before the cloak releases a magical surge of energy unto his small army.
- The entire skeleton army then cast dark magic, dealing a devastating blow, presumably killing Caitlin.
