Session starts Skyfire 24th 800av 2:00 PM
- After robbing the poor traveling salesmen in previous session, the part continues toward Lumin at full speed. They stop to rest, but Aragorn and Aerendyl stay awake in order to protect and alert the party from any would be thieves. Luckily, the night is peaceful.
- When the party awakes and heads off again, they see Eldon’s signature golem and cart heading toward them.
- They pull over as Eldon approaches and sees Thardem riding in the cart. Eldon asks if the party would like to travel with him as when Shain uses Haste II he is able to make deliveries faster.
- Aerendyl and Thardem take apart their cart and make 42, one and a half foot, wooden stakes. Aerendyl also salvages the extra metal (mostly iron), a total of 3 pounds.
- Now that they are riding with Eldon, the rest of the trip, which would usually be another two and a half days, was now cut down to a 30 minute trip.
- They arrive into Lumin very quickly. The party asks Eldon to bring them to Bremstone, and he agrees after some discussion. However, he asks to stop by a warehouse first to drop off his items.
- After dropping of his items, they head to Bremstone, taking only 56 minutes to arrive at a blockade. The party argues for a little too long about how to get past the roadblock, until Kairos just walks up.
- The two guards call out to him as he approaches, the guards inquire if Kairos worships the false god Valentine, Kairos responds negatively and is welcomed and allowed through. The party notices this and follows his lead. As they pass through the gate, one of the guards tells them to head into town and a priest will assist them.
- As the party arrives in town, a priest approaches them and welcomes them to the only place in the entire continent not under the grasp of the false god valentine, or the demon valentine, even the priest is unsure which one is true. He tells the party to head to the church if they would like to learn more.
- As the party approaches the church, there are many people around worshiping, almost as if they feel they are unworthy to enter The Large Church. There are two priests outside flanking the doors. As the party approaches, they are welcomed in.
- Kairos goes to the front and begins worshiping with all his might hoping that that will summon Vexmortis. The rest of the party stays behind and sits down in the pews.
- After a few minutes of fake praise, Aragorn decided to go and stop him as it didn’t seem to be doing anything. Strangely, Kairos responded with “why would I stop praising such a mighty being, one worthy of praise?” It wasn’t until he was questioned further that he finally seemed to snap out of it.
- Kairos immediately locked eyes with a priest that was standing near the exit and proceeded to throw a nearby pew at him with his absurd strength, in response the priest just deflects the pew with some sort of holy shield. This continues two more times until Kairos tries faking him out, which surprisingly works and causes a 100 pound pew to completely shred through the priest. All the civilians in the room had long since fled leaving no witnesses as to what just transpired.
- Thardem decides to go into the back room, and claimed he was a building inspector1 and needed to peruse the building. The priest did not believe him, but after some discussion, decided to give the man a tour. Midway through the tour the priest said that he could not show the basement as it is a private sanctum. Thardem went invisible and found the room going to the basement and went through.
- A new priest walks in from outside upon hearing the loud noises. He sees his fellow brother in arms town in half by a pew, Kairos tell him to flee or he will die.
- Shain has his crow grab a spell book that is sitting on an altar and go back to his pocket dimension.
- Aerendyl attempted to mind his own business and pretend to pray.
- The rest of the party decided to go and look around with Shain impersonating a priest, eventually finding themselves in the basement with Thardem.
- When they entered the basement, the party found a group of priests. Kairos attempted something really stupid, and impersonated Vexmortis as though he was an avatar of the god.2 He claimed that he (Vexmortis) had not been visiting the town for the past week, and that there was an imposter here. THe priest seems shooked because the supposed fake Vexmortis had done so much, including building a well! Shain, still pretending to be a priest, played into this and gave it some credibility. Finally, the other priests asked for a miracle to prove that he is indeed Vexmortis. So, Kairos held his hand out and proclaimed that he can create life, Thardem went visible again in that spot making it seem like Kairos just created Thardem.
- Kairos, as Vexmortis, snooped around and found a small room for worshiping, restricted only to priests.
- He looks around, and sees the head priest in front of an altar reading what appears to be a holy book.
- Kairos walks up to the head priest, with Shain close behind, and explains who he is. She is awestruck as that would imply that an imposter build the well. Kairos, (still pretending to be Vexmortis), walks up to the alter and grabs the book, claiming that he needs to validate the authenticity of the holy book, when in fact, he just burns it.3
