We, the undersigned, in recognition of the suffering wrought by the War of the Broken Spear and in pursuit of lasting peace and prosperity for our peoples, do hereby establish this binding covenant:

Neutrality of the Eryndral Forest
The Eryndral Forest shall henceforth be recognized as neutral territory, belonging neither to Intellectia nor to Discernia. No military forces, outposts, or fortifications shall be established within its bounds by either party. The forest shall remain a place of shared heritage and natural sanctity. -
Shared Resource Rights
The resources of the Eryndral Forest, including but not limited to enchanted timber, rare herbs, and leyline convergence points, shall be accessible to both Intellectia and Discernia under the following conditions:-
A joint council, composed of equal representatives from both city-states, shall oversee the sustainable harvesting of resources.

Any disputes regarding resource allocation shall be resolved through arbitration by a neutral third party, to be agreed upon by both signatories.

Freedom of Passage
The road connecting Intellectia and Discernia, which circumvents the Eryndral Forest, shall remain open and unobstructed for the use of both parties. Neither city-state shall impose tolls or restrictions on travelers or merchants passing between them. -
Mutual Defense
In the event of external aggression against either Intellectia or Discernia, the other party shall provide military aid and support. This clause shall remain in effect for a period of fifty years, after which it may be renewed by mutual agreement. -
Cultural Exchange
To foster understanding and goodwill between our peoples, an annual festival shall be held at the edge of the Eryndral Forest, alternating between the borders of Intellectia and Discernia. This festival shall celebrate the shared history and achievements of both city-states. -
Prohibition of Hostilities
Neither Intellectia nor Discernia shall engage in acts of aggression, sabotage, or espionage against the other. Any violation of this provision shall be met with immediate arbitration and reparations as determined by the joint council. -
Mediation and Enforcement
Aldemar of Thoughtford, or his appointed successor, shall serve as the arbiter of this pact for a period of twenty years. His role shall be to ensure compliance, mediate disputes, and uphold the spirit of this agreement. -
Amendments and Dissolution
This pact may be amended only with the unanimous consent of both signatories. Should either party seek to dissolve this agreement, they must provide one year’s notice and engage in good-faith negotiations to ensure a peaceful transition.
In witness whereof, we, the undersigned, have set our hands and seals upon this document, pledging our honor and the honor of our peoples to uphold this Pact of Eryndral.
