The above is the believed truth of Ley Lines. “They are dangerous” or “they only affect magic”. This could not be further from the truth. Ley Lines are the fundamental building blocks of all things arcane, including life. If Ley Lines were to disappear, connections to the gods, arcane arts, and even the existence of most magical beings would cease to exist. By magic beings, you might immediately think of monsters or spectral creatures, but being magical is a trait shared by many throughout the world of Crystalis. Elves have innate magic because they were born as an off-shoot of fairies which are beings entirely made of magic. Without Ley Lines most of the species in the world would cease to exist.
