On Dreamember 34th, 800av, the queen of ice, Queen Kamiya had been missing for several months, causing civil unrest. This led to a battle outside the city walls of Snowvale between the remaining members of the ice legion, a man named Yinlare, and a woman in black armor. During the fight, Yinlare persuaded the woman in black to join his side. With her help, he won the battle and restored order to Snowvale in the absence of a proper authority figure. Two weeks later, he helped his wife become the new queen of Lovantia, making him the king consort.

Lore before Dreamember 34th, 800av

Lovantia is known as the nation of ice. Not only because of the temperature, but because of how the people there act. They believe in an unchanging world. They worship the god Etrestia following the religion Etrestian to the letter. All outsiders are strictly looked down upon for being new, and therefore a change. They are ruled over by the queen of ice. Though the name has been handed down across many generations, the queen of ice has almost always looked the same. It is believed that it is due to the magical item Ice Dress that only the elected queen is allowed to wear. No one has seen the queen without this dress on.

The government is a republic. When a member of the court, or queen/king dies, a new person is voted in their place. The court decides all formal things for this nation. The queen/King nominees are those who are already a member of the court. There is no age requirement for being elected to the court, although most members are elected in their 40’s.

Most will refuse to talk to a stranger, some will even refuse to acknowledge your presence.

They have no formal army to speak of, but each civilian doubles as a powerful knight. Though, no nation would know it because Lovantia never attempts to expand its borders. Any nation who attacked previously never survived to tell the tale.

Each family has two children exactly.

This nation is heavily reliant on Bontrant for its food and goods. Most citizens believe they are above working in the fields or getting their hands dirty. It is a mystery how they still have gold remaining.

The nations castle in their capital of Snowvale is designed out of ice formed by Queen Kamiya herself. It was formed on top of a natural geyser. Somehow the water is transformed into a flowing ice that can be stepped on. It forms the roads throughout the nation. It seems intelligent in a way, only flowing where needed and not overflowing.
