Temporary Work Contract for Passage Aboard Thorcin
Contract Parties
This contract is entered into on Mistfire 14th 800av between:
- The Ship’s Captain and Crew, collectively referred to as “The Employer.”
- Shain, Aragorn, and Ner’ees, collectively referred to as “The Employees.”
Terms of Agreement
1. Purpose
The Employees agree to perform specific duties aboard the ship in exchange for passage to Discernia.
2. Responsibilities
The Employees shall fulfill the following duties during the voyage:
- Navigator: Provide accurate navigation assistance during nighttime hours.
- Cook: Assist in meal preparation and kitchen maintenance.
- Cleaner: Perform general cleaning tasks, including but not limited to mopping and maintaining passenger areas.
3. Compensation
In consideration of their services:
- The Employees’ fare is reduced to 50 gold per person.
- Employees are entitled to access ship amenities when not on duty.
4. Work Schedule
- Employees are expected to work for 4 hours per day.
- Specific schedules will be assigned by the First Mate or relevant supervisor.
5. Conduct and Attire
- Employees must wear provided uniforms while on duty.
- Employees are required to maintain decorum and avoid areas designated as off-limits (e.g., other passengers’ quarters, cargo storage without authorization).
6. Liability and Safety
- The Employer agrees to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of Employees.
- Employees understand that risks inherent to sea travel are assumed by all parties.
- A payment of 500 gold will be paid to next of kin on the event of the Employees untimely death abord the ship.
7. Termination
- This contract is valid for the duration of the voyage to Discernia.
- Breach of contract, including gross misconduct or failure to perform assigned duties, may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of passage.
8. Additional Provisions
- The Employer shall not be liable for personal items lost, stolen, or damaged aboard the ship.
- Employees must return all provided uniforms and equipment before disembarking.
